Notes from week 5

If you’re interested in this topic I urge you to read Viktor Mayer Schonberger’s book Delete: The Virtue of Forgetting in the Digital Age. It’s available as an e-book in the library catalogue. There’s also loads of info on the web about him and his ideas. There are some provocative arguments in this article in the Independent and also Mayer Schonberger discussing his book in this video.

If you are interested in going a bit deeper, try reading Varnelis’ The End of History Again. It’s not a long piece but it starts to unpick how we might conceive time in the age of network culture.
